Handlung
Die Soldaten bewegen sich nicht auf einem engen Haufen, sondern mit etwas Abstand zueinander fort. Darüber hinaus hat man, wie schon bei der ersten Erkundung, regelmäßig die Umgebung mit Hilfe der Wärmebildsichtgeräte auf den Gewehren überprüft. In der dichten Vegetation, die die ganze Insel bedeckt, hat man so einen Vorteil bei der Sichtweite, den man benutzt hat um alle Piraten-Patrouillen, die man auf dem Weg entdecken könnte, unbemerkt zu umgehen.

Unter diesen Bedingungen ist jede Distanz, aus der man Shiffers Team ohne technische Hilfsmittel beobachten könnte, keine sichere Distanz mehr.
